Preventing the Spread of Black Mold with an Air Purifier
In the case that you know about black mold, then you know that you want to do everything in your power to prevent it. If you let black mold infiltrate your house, it can cause severe health problems, and you may have to move out if the problem gets too bad. If you do not want to have to look at your tented house from outside, then you should take preventative measures to keep your home safe. An easy way to do so is to get an air purifier for your house.
Black mold is spread through the spores, and once they find a moist surface, they can proliferate at a rapid rate. To prevent the spores from ever getting this far, you can get an air purifier that removes these bacteria from the air, and then they will never have the chance to grow into full-blown mold. Using an air purifier is a great way to achieve this, although you need to make sure you have the right kind.
The classic air purifiers use HEPA filters that only use size-exclusion to filter the air. That is, large particles are caught in the filter, while smaller ones get through. Many mold particles are below the size threshold, and thus this kind of purifier will not be highly effective at stopping the spread of mold.
The best kind of purifier that you can get, although it is a little more expensive, is one that utilizes ultraviolet radiation. By using this type of technology, it does not matter how small the bacteria is; it will be eliminated by the radiation. For this reason, you should use a UV purifier. Of course, you get additional benefits from having this in your home as well, such as eliminating other kinds of harmful toxins as well.
